About TRITEC
For more than three decades, TRITEC has been recognized for engineering excellence, long-lasting quality, and reliable system design.
Guided by our founding principle—“Changing systems into solutions”—we continue to shape the future of medical imaging, embedded hardware, and OEM system development.
Today, TRITEC is part of the Panoptec Group, alongside Guntermann & Drunck and VuWall, expanding our reach and strengthening our innovation power across global markets.
Engineering Reliability, Innovation, and Longevity
Founded in Mainz in 1991, TRITEC began as a specialized hardware developer and quickly evolved into a provider of complete medical workstation, storage, and imaging solutions. Over the years, we expanded into global supply chain management while maintaining our deep roots in hardware innovation and IT system manufacturing. Our commitment to quality, precision, and trusted customer relationships remains the foundation of everything we do.
From Hardware Development to Complete Imaging Solutions
TRITEC’s evolution reflects decades of deep technical expertise. What began as board-level development grew into SUN clone design and worldwide distribution, followed by comprehensive solutions for medical imaging and PACS environments. We continue to develop our own hardware platforms and produce systems for OEM customers—ensuring long-term reliability and a fast time-to-market for specialized applications.

Two Decades of Advanced Board-Level Engineering
A major milestone came in 2001 with the acquisition of LXCO Technologies AG in Berlin, where we centralized all hardware development. LXCO quickly became known for innovation, creating specialized greyscale graphics boards and advanced electronic modules used by major imaging manufacturers around the world.
From 2001 to 2022, TRITEC and LXCO worked in a close and successful partnership before ultimately merging back into a unified TRITEC Electronic GmbH. Together, we built strong expertise in custom board design, embedded solutions, medical environments, Unix/Linux platforms, certifications, rugged engineering, and long-run, “Designed and Made in Germany” product quality.
Technology Built to Last—Often for Decades
Our products are known for exceptional longevity. Many early systems remain in operation today, including U10 workstations from 1998 still controlling tarmac production facilities. The DG2 graphics board, produced for nearly ten years, became a trusted standard for radiology workstations.
In 2007, LXCO began development of the Multi Display Manager, delivering the first units in 2009 and continuing development ever since—surpassing 5,500 units deployed by 2018. Other notable achievements include the TT-264 DVI-to-H.264 converter (launched 2014) and the ADIO-2, a multi-signal converter and scaler supporting up to 4K inputs across analog, DVI, DP, and SDI.
These milestones reflect our commitment to long-lasting, dependable solutions across industries and markets worldwide.
Certified, Reliable, and Built for Long Lifecycles
TRITEC provides complete OEM production services, including a PC and server BTO program for the German market and specialized batch manufacturing for international customers. Our services include full regulatory certification such as UL and CE, ensuring compliance for global deployments.
For more than six years, TRITEC has produced a SUN SPARC–based medical user-interface computer developed to meet exacting customer specifications. This end-to-end process includes design, sourcing, documentation, certification (EN 60950 / EN 61010), manufacturing, logistics, packaging, and long-term support for the 10-year lifecycles required in medical applications.
Our facility in Mainz is audited regularly by UL, TÜV, VDE, and large industrial clients—reflecting our commitment to quality and traceability.
Bridging Innovation Between Small Manufacturers and Global Enterprises
In 2006, we introduced our Supply Chain Management service to help innovative small manufacturers connect with global enterprises. While smaller companies often produce excellent technology, they may not meet corporate requirements for labeling, packaging, certification, or documentation. TRITEC fills this gap by providing a compliant, flexible, and highly reliable interface.
This creates a win–win–win model:
-
Small companies gain access to global markets.
-
TRITEC delivers valuable services and expertise.
-
Large enterprises gain reliable access to innovative, cost-effective products.
This approach has made TRITEC a trusted A-Supplier for major international companies, including Siemens.
Our Commitment
Made in Germany Quality, Built for the Long Term
Our team of highly skilled engineers and technicians continues to uphold the principles that have defined TRITEC since 1991: reliability, durability, and intelligent engineering. We remain committed to delivering robust, long-lasting systems that our customers can trust—today and for decades to come.
